Ya see, when you start into your 30s', it's the onset of that disease called 'oltimers'. You're only beginning. As you 'fly' through these years, it becomes more prominent and YOU will be writing more detailed notes for yourself....and only to rewrite them again because you've misplaced the originals. It's a mind game, Jimmy....a BIG mind challenging game....probably the biggest one you'll ever play. Hehe! ;B

Hi Jeannine! (I think I screwed up the spelling...sorry!) Just want to see more pics of your place! I think Colby's adds to it though! :)
Send me your email...we want you guys to come over to Ner'ich this summer...or whenever...winter's fine, too, but summer is better in the long run. We have flowers! ANDDDddd! Tell your Dad I bought some 'fava beans'. I'm going to try to grow them! Not TOO many. I don't want to be inundated with too many as I'm not up there every day. If they grow, they grow. If not, so be it. I love them! I could become a vegetarian...easily!
Hope everything is going great for you! ;B

I haven't moved to step two yet, but I'm waiting for the Black Friday sales...maybe they'll have a "buy a 42 inch, get a 19 inch free" sale.

Oh wow. Maybe that little fire pit we had on saturday had some negative effects! Never mix sparks and 16 year old table varnish. Thats whats fun about new homes. You get to be the ones who discover every mistake the builders made. Next stop, the creeky step in the basement stairs!

It was a great ride(s) indeed at Lake George. Looking forward to next year and hopefully the Cabot Trail as well.
Funny, but all this talk of endless yard work...it's not coming back to me. Am I missing something ? I would think this type of activity would have been prevented by the Child Labor Laws.

Hmmm... Rick? I think you mean Rich? Must have that HK virus on your pc. Anyway, yes - it always amused me when my dad put my friends to work. From his perspective, it must have been nice to have free labor on demand.

It is funny, I know it has been quite a while but i never remember Rick shoveling the gravel or carrying firewood... Was that the day I wasn't there?

Ahh Konz yardwork. I remember riding my bike over to the Konz ranch....only to find out Jim could not go to the beach until he(meaning we) shoveled a pile of gravel around in the driveway. Ahh what fun. Or, you would trudge over in the winter snow, only to find out that Jim(we) needed to move firewood from outside to the inside fireplace....ahh the good ol days

It is kind of funny how close your new home is to ours. Although our home is a 1920's Colonial if it were to be built today it would be your home... good luck to you, Dina and Colby.

Good luck with the new house. It looks like a nice piece of property.
I like Bamboo floors, they are very sturdy and they look great! Good Job.

Congratulations on the new house! I'm excited for you guys.
Now make sure you run your blender on the deck for a while to get rid of any jockle bugs on account of the jumanji wood.

Nice floors, Jimmy and Dina! Looks like you worked your buns off! Good choice in color and style. (I think you need to make 'Dove' a few gallons of wine in YOUR basement now)...sorry I won't be there this wknd. to help out moving....can't miss any more work. Dad will be there with the trailer though.....Be careful with him! He's fragile!
Love, Mom

Whatever, Rich.....you have a right to your opinion, like I said, but you're right to keep it to personal email. It's very aggravating to 'some' people....like me...I've found myself to be very opinionated, too. I'd rather leave politics alone. They are so annoying. You stick to your guns and I'll stick to mine. You and Jimmy have been through many good and 'funny' times growing up and, as his mother, I'd like to remember the 'acorn' life myself and that's what I WILL remember and your Mother being happy that you were friends with Jimmy. You're a good egg (corn)! :B You guys were crazy! (Still hear the same thing from kids up here ~ 'OH, there's NOTHING to do in this town!'....give me a break!.....they're all spoiled!) Where else can you go to ice skate (and, for that matter. ice fish ), swim in the summer, four~wheel (in some areas), and have a 'movie theater' in town? We grew up with just ice skating and swimming......we had to go out of town for movies, had no '3~wheelers', but, although we had a 'big bowling alley' in town......so, things don't change much....parents....people still move to the country to raise their 'sprogs'.............history repeats itself, as they say. The only REAL big difference is 'computers' these days! Life is still basically the same, only more complicated today. Too many OTHER things going on in 'kids' lives.
'I'll always have a special spot in my heart for you, Rich'. Hope everything is okay with you and your 'bride'.........

You know, I had this big reply all made up...but I know who I am and what I believe in..I know that I am correct in my beliefs...this is all that matters to me.
I am not a kid anymore. I read a lot and keep up on current events. I am able to think outside of the norm which opens my mind to many other things. I know that this is a trait of people who truly make change in our world....this is all that matters.
Keeping conforming...keep doing what others want to you do and feeling how others want to you feel.
From now on, I will keep my dialogue with Jim strictly in email.

I honestly think you should run for office, Rich, cuz NO ONE would vote for you! Here we go again...another election coming up and, looks like Jimmy's 'blog' will be filled with nasty crap again! YOU'RE entitled to your opinion (unless 'BIG BROTHER' has something to say about it), but I think you're TOO negative ALREADY. GEEZE! I bet you support Sean Penn and Hanoi....oh, excuse me, 'Bagdad Jane', too...make me puke, along with 80% of the rest of the Hollywood gang! (Did you ever 'read' about her antics during the VN War????....now, SHE'S an a****** if I ever did see one!...and they wanted to vote her as 'woman of the year????? Now, THAT would be a sin!) They're 'old hat' and need to 'really' get a life and go away! No one likes them anyway...well, EXCEPT for a measly few....all our young people don't know who that 'traitor' is anyway, so why bother protesting????? They're ALL useless!
Did your father ever talk to you about the aftermath of Viet Nam???????? World War I and II??????? They didn't end right away! Did you think that after everyone came home, everyone had a perfect government and perfect homes in those countries????? You need to do more research, Rich, instead of listening to the left~winged idiots in this country! I guarantee you want these guys out of there, too....well, we all do, but it's not that easy....
And, what's so wrong about Guilliani????? It's so easy to condemn someone, but he did the 'BEST' that he could during that situation......I wouldn't want YOU in that situation!......
SOOOOooo annoying! Is that your 'purpose in life? To annoy people with stupid cracks???
Yep, you got my gourd up and I WILL answer to it. This country is wonderful and I will stick by it until the day I die.
Another thing....what about Korea and Iran????? What's your opinion on that? They're the next bunch of idiots to cause problems in the world...are you going to sit back and say, 'Oh, no, we shouldn't go there either!'? What country in this world is going to fight them back???? NOT FRANCE, that's for sure! What's your opinion on that situation????? Should we sit back and do 'nothing'???????? Until someone comes over here again and sends a nuclear bomb right at 'ORLANDO, FLORIDA'???????
Yep, I'm sure everyone agrees that war sucks, but we're there......there's no draft...They all volunteered to do what they have to do for 'OUR' country....and I'll support them as long as I have to.
I can't STAND negativity anymore!
I hope we all find some kind of peace in this world, but we don't need the negative people to hinder the situations.......you don't realize what you sound like......don't be so one sided...open your mind to everything......and to all the candidates....find SOMETHING good in all.......it's, also, too early yet. I'm trying, too.....
Peace......................................

Yes, currently Obama is who will be getting my vote. Hillary just says what people want to hear...might as well be a republican. Only problem is the top 2 democratic candidates are either a woman or black. This will not go well with the voters of the red states as the majority of them are inbred rednecks(get the movie idiocracy on netflix, you will laugh and be scared all at one time). They are ignorant to what really matters and will not see past the color or gender of the democratic candidates. I'm sure we will see some more bills on the docket to ban gay rights etc, abortions and such to stimulate the republican base(toothless redneck gun toting idiots)(present company excluded). And guiliani, as for him, had anyone else been mayor during 911, and stood on some rubble, they would be heros too and be in the race...hes a lame duck already

I do kind of like Barak Osama, but his ears are too big. So, does this mean you're not going for Hillary, Rich? My guess is that either Romney or McCain will come out of the primary on the republican side. Romney's been a pretty good governor here in Taxachusetts. It's always fun having a conservative governor in an ultra liberal state.
